Challenge
Redesigning the website requires a comprehensive approach that begins with understanding the current site's structure and functionality to ensure a smooth transition, while balancing the goal of modernizing its appearance with the preservation of existing brand elements to maintain brand identity. A primary objective is improving navigation to enhance user experience and make information more accessible, alongside the critical task of seamlessly integrating existing features, such as an interactive map or database, into the new design to retain their functionality and value.
Objective
To begin the redesign process, I conducted a thorough analysis of the existing site to understand its structure, content, and user experience. Based on this analysis, I developed a new design concept that addressed the client's key concerns. My design included a new home page with an actionable element that linked directly to the map, making it easier for users to access this feature. To ensure that the site was easy to navigate, I created a clear and intuitive navigation structure, with prominent call-to-action buttons and easy-to-follow links.
Results
The website redesign delivered a modern, user-friendly platform with an updated home page and an easily accessible, navigable interactive map, seamlessly incorporating the original brand elements with a fresh, contemporary aesthetic, resulting in high client satisfaction and positive user feedback for its enhanced usability and navigation compared to the previous version. Through thorough analysis of the existing site, integration of modern design elements, and improved navigation, this project exemplified how a redesign can significantly elevate the user experience and ensure key features, like the interactive map, are both functional and user-centric, exceeding the client's expectations.
